Dirty Dancing

Based on one of the most well-known movies of all time, Dirty Dancing will lift you up and take you on a journey reminiscent of the fabulous 1980s.

Choose to play as Frances "baby" Houseman or stud-muffin Johnny Castle. It's the summer of 1963 and things are about to get exciting.

Earn money working in the kitchens and helping out in the hotel lobby, these are in the mini-games known as Breakfast Buffet and Bellboy Bedlam (to name only a few). Use this money to take dance lessons and enter competitions. Have the time of your life with the sexy Patrick Swayze.

Dirty Dancing is a game of mini-games and puzzles. There is no linear plot to play though. Your role is to do the jobs offered to you around the camp and take the dance lessons as you can afford them. As you progress through different levels of the mini-games other parts of the camp become available.

As an added bonus you are also given a cabin with a pool and can use your earnings to buy furniture and decorate. All in that memorable 80s style of course.

Dirty Harry

Dirty Harry is based on the popular Clint Eastwood movie character of "Dirty" Harry Callahan (rather than the specific movie "Dirty Harry"), a cop famous for his use of a .44 magnum for doing away with evildoers, and for his catchphrase, "Go ahead, make my day." In fact, the game begins with a digitized sample of that quote. The game play consists primarily of side-scrolling action. Dirty Harry can punch and kick the copious thugs that assault him using their own fists, guns, baseball bats, nets, and dynamite. The hero can also pull is .44 and aim it in 5 directions in order to pick off enemies, but the ammo is limited. Further, Dirty Harry has a number of other tools at his disposal, provided he collects them.

This is not a one-way side-scroller, however. There are some adventure elements as well, such as being able to walk through alleys to other streets and going through doors to enter building. Entering buildings provides even greater challenges, like snakes and laser flooring. Dirty Harry even takes the fight down to the sewer.

Disaster Report

Keith Miyamoto is a reporter who works for an important newspaper in Los Angeles. In 2005, he travels to an island called Capital City, where he has to get a new job. However, on his way from the airport to the city, a terrible earthquake occurs. The train collapses and Keith finds himself abandoned by the rescue team. Now he has to escape the island, try to save the people stranded on it, and discover the true reasons behind the chaos in the city. But that will be anything but easy. The earthquake continues, and any time Keith steps on a half-collapsed bridge, crawls over a pile of rumble, or climbs a narrow path between ruined houses, the Earth can start trembling...

Disaster Report is a combination of pure adventure and survival horror genres. Controls, inventory management, fixed camera angles and relative vulnerability of the protagonist are reminiscent of Alone in the Dark and similar games, while the complete lack of enemies to fight reminds of a classic adventure. There are many ways to preserve Keith from constant dying. You can find items and combine them into new ones (for example, finding a helmet and a lamp will allow you to build a helmet with a flashlight attached to it). Keith will also need to quench his thirst, so you'll have to find water for him. The water taps found in the game also serve as save points.

Disaster : Day of Crisis

Players take control of Raymond Bryce, who is a former "International Rescue Team" member. Raymond has a traumatic past, and has so far given his previous action-packed lifestyle away. It is only after a severe earthquake that he is called upon once again for his rescuing and emergency response expertise.

As Bryce, players view the game in a third-person view, and manoeuvre the character through many different environments in order to both track down a mysterious armed group, as well as find and rescue civilians caught up in the various environmental disasters that are unfolding.

By searching, calling-out to and rescuing non-playable characters, Bryce accumulates points that allow him to both unlock, upgrade and "buy" items that become available after certain set events. Further to this, players can then upgrade Raymond's skills directly. Strength, stamina and weapon skills are some of the available areas that can be improved.

Control in this game is varied. Apart from the more traditional over-the-shoulder perspective and control, Bryce may need to sprint and run towards the camera, he may need to swim and avoid underwater obstacles, he may need to perform basic first-aid on civilians, and he more commonly is involved in frantic shoot-outs. These segments of the game resemble the gameplay style of Time Crisis, where players may take cover and then emerge to fire upon many armed combatants. Bryce's arsenal is varied as well.

Within the various city and urban environments, Bryce needs to react accordingly to each given situation, and players are prompted beforehand on what particular control-method will need be employed via on-screen "help". He is called upon to use fire-extinguishers, drive different vehicles (away and towards the camera), and operate panels, doors and a multitude of life-like objects.
