Adidas Power Soccer 98
adidas Power Soccer 98 is the fourth and final title in the Psygnosis series. Offering the classic mix of arcade and simulated gameplay from the previous games, this edition updates the game twelve different types of tournaments and cups, eleven international leagues, 120 national teams and about 30 different stadia to play in.
Aside from the classic gameplay players have different moves such as flick-passes, short dribbles, and sliding tackles. In both (arcade modes and simulation), there is a speed button that makes players run at an extreme and somewhat unrealistic speed. It is not entirely an advantage as using it widens the gap between the ball and the foot, leaving players wide open for tackles. Unlike similar games, there also isn't a way to scroll through the available players - the game automatically selects the player nearest to the ball.
The camera is dynamic and smoothly zooms in and out to give the best overview of the pitch. Multiplayer is available for up to four players through multitap. It was released in June of 1998 to coincide with the 1998 World Cup played in France at that time.

Advent Rising
In Advent Rising, you play as Gideon Wyeth, a rookie space pilot. Gideon has a loving fiancée and life smiles. That is, until mysterious aliens appear. Gideon and his brother, a hero space pilot, are invited to the historical greeting party. Though the aliens are friendly, they come with a warning about another, vicious race, known as "the Seekers", who have decided to exterminate the human race. Soon after, the Seekers invasion begins, and so does the actual game.
The game itself is a third person shooter with superpowers and a rudimentary melee fighting system. Alternatively, it's possible to switch to a first person perspective, although some abilities cannot be used in this view. Generally you just go around shooting aliens using a new kind of targeting system called flick-targeting. While on Xbox you select targets by tapping thumbsticks towards the foe you want to shoot, on PC this happens by scrolling the mouse wheel (although you can use the mouse for manual aiming and thus avoid scrolling through long list of enemies). You can also gain psychic powers to aid you in combat, ranging from lifting enemies into the air and slowing down time, to creating shields capable of deflecting attacks and smashing enemies with an electromagnetic pulse. These powers work like character upgrades, each one having five mastery levels. Jumping and melee fighting are also upgradeable. As part of the jumping mastery levels, for example, is dodging in slow motion. Just like weapons, in order to use powers they must first be equipped in at least one hand.
During gameplay, the HUD shows Gideon's remaining health, the power meter, weapons and powers currently in use, and the number of rounds in the weapon. At first, you must find Nano Aid stations in order to recover health, however once Gideon gains mastery over his health, it simply regenerates if you stay out of harm's way. The power meter decreases every time a power is used, and if it's depleted you must wait for a time before you have access to your powers again.
While Advent Rising is mainly a third person shooter, Gideon will have the chance to control the Scythe ATV, turrets and various alien ships. The game has four levels of difficulty (easy, normal, hard and ultra), and uses a checkpoint-based saving system.

The Adventures of Batman & Robin
Konami's game based on the 90s animated series starring the Caped Crusader sends him against his most famous enemies in a platforming/beat'em'up title.
Each of the game's eight levels (or episodes) sends Batman against one particular villain. Most levels present Batman with a large number of henchmen to take out and environmental dangers to avoid on his way to one or more boss battles, but some deviate from the norm. For instance, Catwoman's stage is a large chase over Gotham City's rooftops with no enemies besides Catwoman herself. In the Penguin's level, Batman must navigate the dark corridors of Gotham City's museum, rescuing the staff. Two-Face's level is a driving sequence, seen from a top-down perspective.
Besides kicks, throws and punches, Batman can use a variety of equipment against the enemies. Always available are Batarangs and the grappling hook. Before each mission, Batman can also select additional equipment, like knockout gas spray, throwing stars, smoke bombs and plastic explosives, all with limited ammunition. Special equipment required for certain levels include a flashlight, gas mask and X-ray goggles. If some necessary equipment is missing, it is always possible to return to the Batcave to change the gear and then restart the current level.
Many of the situations and environments of the levels are based on episodes from the series and the game's graphics emulate the animation and drawing style of the show.

The Adventures of Bayou Billy
Your best girl Annabelle has been kidnapped by the evil Gordon, the "gangster king of Bourbon Street", and as Bayou Billy it is your job to get her back! Bayou Billy is an arcade action game with three different types of gameplay: fighting, shooting, and driving. The fighting sections take place in both swamps and cities, where you can punch, kick, and jump kick the numerous enemies (and swamp creatures!) you will encounter. The shooting section can be played with either the NES Zapper or the controller. You have a limited amount of ammo to get through the level, and if you run out of it you lose a life. In the driving section your jeep is armed with machine guns and grenades to help get past the many enemy vehicles on the way to your destination. There is a total of nine levels, or you can play in the practice mode which lets you choose to play a fighting, shooting, or driving round individually.
The Adventures of Gilligan Island
The plot is based on a TV sitcom of the 60's named Gilligan's Island. Your ship crashed on a deserted island, and now you must get back to civilization. The stranded people on the island are: Gilligan and the Skipper ( the crew of the ship), a millionaire and his wife, a professor, and Mariann who is a homely Midwest U.S.A. girl.
Despite the name, you'll be playing as the Skipper. Gilligan follows you around as a comedic relief sidekick. The game is divided into four episodes; the goal is always to locate all crew members in a limited amount of time. To do so the two heroes have to navigate the maze-like island and collect items - every found character provides hints for the next step.
There are also a lot of dangers which have to be faced: wild animals and headhunters can be fought with your bare hands and fallen rocks or obstacles on the ground have to be avoided. A common nuisance are holes in the ground which lead to the underground caves: Gilligan is likely to fall into these. If this happens Skipper has two minutes to get Gilligan back. There are three items which help Skipper on his quest: bananas replenish his health, hourglasses give extra time and the rope is used to get Gilligan back instantly.

The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle
The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle is the video game adaptation of the 60's cartoon series staring Bullwinkle, a moose, and Rocky, a flying squirrel. The game plays out much like an episode of the show. The story begins at the dedication of the Frostbite Falls Rocky and Bullwinkle museum. Unfortunately, the not-so-nice Boris and Natasha have disguised themselves as security guards for the museum and managed to steal some of the priceless artifacts.
Bullwinkle and Rocky must track down the stolen artifacts and return order to Frostbite Falls. Most of the action is of the side-scrolling platformer variety, but along the way, you will get to play lots of mini-games involving characters from the show. During the platforming sections you can switch instantly between the two protagonists. Both play differently: Bullwinkle can throw bombs at enemies and Rocky can fly for short instances.

The Adventures of Tintin
The Adventures of Tintin: The Game is a game based on The Adventures of Tintin, a series of classic comic books created by Belgian artist Hergé between 1929 and 1983. It is released as a tie-in for the 2011 Spielberg animated movie The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn and follows the story. The plot is based on events from different comics, including The Crab with the Golden Claws, Red Rackham’s Treasure, and The Secret of the Unicorn.
The game is a side-scrolling 2D platformer with minor puzzle elements to take out enemies and finding a way to proceed to a next area. Tintin is able to sneak around, steal keys, hide inside barrels, throw objects, roll, grab ledges, and jump to reach platforms. Fights are based on stealthy takedowns, but there is also regular melee combat. In later levels guards are well armed and the player needs to use objects in the environment such as banana peels or wet paint to take them out. Occasionally there is a level boss. Tintin can also send Snowy to sneak through gaps or command Haddock to stand on a pressure plate.
The Solo mode starts at a flea market in Belgium where young reporter Tintin buys a model ship. A collector appears shortly after and tries to buy it from him for ten times the amount. Intrigued, Tintin is brought to someone knowledgeable who tells him it is a replica of The Unicorn, a triple-masted ship of Charles II's fleet, that was blown up by its own captain when it was attacked by the Red Rackham in 1676. Tintin wants to find out why the captain sunk his own ship and finds a document inside the model, but the collector returns and sneakily steals the ship from him. With the help from Snowy he tracks down the collector's house and from there the quest to unravel the secret of The Unicorn kicks off. He ends up at the ship SS Karaboudjan where he meets captain Haddock. From there they travel to Ben Salaad’s Palace, then to Bagghar, a fictional port city in Morroco, and finally back to the home town of Marlinspike.
The game is interspersed with small sequences where it moves away from 2D platforming. These 3D segments include fighting on motorbikes during a chase, plane flights, scent-tracking with Snowy, diving, and on-rails sword fighting sections that are played out aboard The Unicorn back in time. The game can played in a separate Cooperative mode with Tintin, Haddock and opera singer Bianca Castafiore. These separate sets of levels require the players to work together as each character has a different skill. Tintin uses a grappling hook, Haddock moves crates and breaks through walls, and Castafiore can double jump and break glass. There is also a Challenge mode where players can compete against each other.

The Adventures of Willy Beamish
Willy Beamish is a kid who likes to goof off and have fun. Naturally all the grown-ups get in the way by making him go to school, making him clean his room, etc. But now that's school's out for the summer, Willy is determined to have a good time and maybe even have his pet frog win the frog jumping contest. However Willy has a habit of getting into trouble, and naturally that means it will be a challenge to get out of it.
The Adventures of Willy Beamish is a point-and-click graphical adventure. You play Willy Beamish, an eight year-old kid who is just trying to get through life without losing his lunch money. But he'll have to deal with parents, teachers, babysitters and bratty sisters. The player must solve different puzzles to ensure Willy can progress, get out of trouble and generally avoid ending up grounded.
The in-game time progresses even if no action is taken. This means many puzzles have to be solved in a certain time frame or rely on being in the right place at the right time. A special aspect of this game is a bar which shows Willy's relationship to his parents. It gets affected by the way certain situations are resolved, e.g. it increases if Willy refuses to play with his sister, and when it is full they send Willy to a military school and the game is lost.
The GOG release of this game for Windows includes both Floppy and CD versions of the game. The main differences are that the CD version has updated graphics, features animations and animated character portraits instead of static images, enhanced audio and full voice-acting whereas the Floppy version doesn't feature any voice-acting.

AEON Flux
Aeon Flux is a 3rd person action game inspired by the 2005 movie of the same name. The story takes place 400 years in the future after the majority of Earth's population has been wiped out by industrial disease. Only one city, Bregna, remains. The city is run by the group of scientists who had discovered the vaccine to prevent the disease, but a group of rebels known as the Monicans oppose their rule.
You control the main character of the story, Aeon Flux. Aeon is a skilled fighter, and can perform light and heavy strikes, combo attacks, and a variety of acrobatic attacks. When an enemy has only a small amount of health left, you also have the ability to perform a takedown attack; when successful this will award you a bonus, such as extra health. Aeon has a health meter and a style meter; when the health meter is depleted, the game is over. The style meter is filled by attacking or killing enemies; when you have earned enough style, you can charge up your combo attacks for extra damage. Aeon is also equipped with a gun called the FUG (Flux Universal Gun) as well as various gadgets. To use the gun you will need ammo which can be picked up at various locations on each level. The various gadgets and gizmos available need to be used to get past certain areas and solve some puzzles; intel capsules provide you with important data, small orbs can be controlled to disable alarms and activate doors, Aeon can hide in rollers to navigate through areas undetected, and more

If you cannot turn a profit for a year or meet the victory conditions in 32 years you lose. Some strategic decisions you must make include negotiating for open air routes, purchasing or selling aircraft, invest in branch offices and hotels, advertise your airline and set budgets. You must also pay attention to statistics like quarterly and annual sales reports, as well as city data. World events also affect your airline, from natural disasters to war and even the Olympic games, all of which will affect how many passengers you get. Afro Samurai
Revenge. That's all that the man named Afro knows. His father was murdered when he was just a small child, killed by a man seeking the power of The Number One, a headband said to bestow the power of a god. Only he who carries The Number Two has the right to challenge The Number One, and to avenge his father, Afro has dedicated his life to becoming The Number Two and killing the man who wears The Number One.
Afro Samurai is a third-person action game based on the anime created by Takashi Okazaki and Gonzo and starring Samuel L. Jackson. Each stage chronicles an important event in Afro's quest for revenge, culminating in a boss fight at the end. The defining feature of the combat is Afro's ability to enter "focus mode," where the screen goes black-and-white and the action slows down, allowing for a "perfect slice" attack which can slice enemies literally to pieces. It must be charged after use, with the charge represented by a pendant hanging from Afro's sword.
As Afro kills enemies, he levels up earning new skills and increasing his power and stamina. Collecting "mementos" strewn around each stage will also unlock special abilities called "father's legacy", which are often extra-devastating moves that can easily take down even stronger enemies.
