Based after the Cartoon Network series of the same name, Grim Adventures (for consoles) plays very much like an arena fighter based on Power Stone.

Regarding the plot - one day, Grim's Mojo Balls are unleashed into Endsville, giving all the residents supernatural rage. This leads into mass fighting and mayhem, and it is up to Grim, Billy, Mandy and Irwin to figure out who unleashed the balls.

Each character has special abilities and moves, as well as weapons to utilize. Each character also has a Mojo meter, which is a power bar. If filled once, it can be used to deal heavy damage, and if filled twice, it can be used to knock out all players.

The game spans across several levels that are destructible and feature roughly most of the major characters from Grim Adventures, and have various single player and multiplayer modes.

Groove on Fight : Goketsuji Ichizoku 3
Groove On Fight

Another entry in the Power Instinct series. Groove on Fight changes the entire atmosphere of the game and introduces several gameplay changes to the original formula.

The game is set once again around the fighting tournament organized to decide the fate of the Gouketsuji clan, but the action takes place decades after the last tournament in a dark retro-futuristic world. Additionally, the bloodlines of the Gouketsuji clan have grown thin and now the tournament has been opened to foreign families, thus resulting in a new cast of characters that all but replaces the original fighters.

Gameplay-wise Groove on Fight plays as a team-based 2-on-2 2D fighting game, with each player selecting two fighters and being able to tag freely between them at any point in the fights a la X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Your objective is to defeat all the challenger teams and then face of against your teammate to decide who gets to be the new head of the clan. Also a new dodge and knockout attack has been added to the basic controls, and the game features four player simultaneous play in Vs mode.

It's a quiet day at the Mikami Ghost Sweeping Company until a mysterious package arrives. It seems the kindly old storekeeper Yakuchin found a magic statue and figured it would best be kept in Mikami's hands. Of course, where there's magic, there's wealth (or something like that), so Reiko sets out to find the seven gems needed to complete the statue.

GS Mikami: Joreishi wa Nice Body is a side scrolling platform game based on the Ghost Sweeper Mikami manga and anime. The player controls Reiko who can fight off ghosts and monsters with her enchanted baton. The baton can be powered up to shoot lighting or icicles at an angle, but its power is lost if Reiko is hit. Reiko can only hold up to three special weapons, either a scroll that sucks enemies into it, or a gem that freezes time. Each case in the game is either one or two platforming levels long followed by a boss fight.

GTC Africa (GTC meaning Global Touring Challenge) is a rally game for 1-2 players in a geographical setting of Africa. The game could be seen as a follow-up to the developers previous game Wild Wild Racing though now we stay in one continent only, and use more ordinary rally cars.

The game has 9 cars used in 19 circuits in environments from cities to savannah and jungle, which can be raced individually or in one of three championships, either East Coast Championship, the North South Challenge or a full African Tour with all 19 circuits.

For 2 players, only the individual races are available, not the championships, which only allow one player racing against AI. There is also a Practice and a Challenge mode, which consists of a mini-game on a mixed circuit. Customization is only selecting Teams (with team colors, and cars) and choosing automatic or manual gearbox.

Driveable cars are:
  • Ford Cougar
  • Ford Escort RS Cosworth (Mk V)
  • Ford Focus RS WRC (Mk I)
  • Ford Mustang (Mk IV)
  • Mitsubishi Lancer (Evolution VI)

Together, they use their unique combat specialties to take out the gang members and defeat the person responsible for this mess, the evil Mr.Big!

Guardians of the 'Hood is a 2.5D side-scrolling fighting game which features nice digitized sprites similar to Pit-Fighter and sprite scaling effects to give a feel of depth. Taking on the role of either Conner, Chief, Javier or Tina, you must advance through four areas of the city clearing out the gang infestation. You will have to cope with a variety of thugs and to defeat these bad guys/girls, you have an arsenal of punches, kicks, wrestling moves and all sorts of weapons you can pick up along the way, such as parking meters, car bumper covers, trash cans and a lot of other things you may find.
