It's the year 2097 and after a long civil war California finally got its will and split with the USA. Under the reign of dictator and media mogul Lou Baxter the newly formed state declared to be the Republic of California. Of course the masses aren't very happy to live in a police state so Lou invents the TV show "The Show" in which political enemies and dissidents need to fight "for their freedom" as he calls it. In reality they are basically just getting slaughtered in front of the cameras. As you might guess, the democratic east doesn't tolerate this and sends in Major Frank Harris who infiltrates the show in order to destroy it from the inside. So you take control over Frank Harris and Team Outlaw and fight your way to the generator that powers the island on which "The Show" takes place.

The island actually consists of several platforms that are several kilometers high, 500x500 metres in diameter and float in front of the coast of California. The top of a platform is covered with holo-emitters which allow Lou to form totally different conditions for every match. The modules themselves are hollow and contain all the prisoners and the equipment. This means you need to build several kinds of elevators for infantry and mechs in order to move these reinforcements to the top and into your fight.

The resources needed to build new buildings and recruit new units are Credits, Energy and Communication channels. While you need to build generators to get Energy and upgrade your elevator and headquarters to increase the number of available Communication channels, the only way to get credits is to conquer the outposts on the map. But you can't conquer them any way you want to. They are all connected with one another and your are only able to conquer outposts that have a connection to another outpost you own. The outposts are also a fast way of transportation since you can send in your units at one outpost and then order them to get out of another one you own.

You do not only fight on top of the platforms but also inside of them because your goal still is to destroy them all. Often you receive a special mission in which you need to take a group of infantry, while you are fighting in front of the cameras, down into the heart of the module and for example retrieve a communication device so that you can communicate with the mole inside "The Show".

The game features ten multiplayer-maps for four players with three different modes: Conquest, Sudden Death and Co-op.
  • Conquest is the normal Deathmatch in which you need to destroy the all the enemy headquarters on a map.

  • Sudden Death plays much faster than Conquest because the goal is just to conquer an enemy outpost before the enemy conquers one of yours.

  • Co-op is basically Team deathmatch which means that you play with a friend against another team of two players. The goal is again to destroy all enemy headquarters.
Shrek

Based on and around the 3D animated movie of the same name, the game allows the player to control Shrek, a huge green ogre who's life has changed for the worse when every Fairy Tale character known to children wind up in his house. With the never ending talk of Donkey following him along his path, Shrek must rescue Princess Fiona from the dragon, as requested by Farquaad, while finding his way through crazy characters from the fairy (and not so fairy) tale kingdom.

New characters and events stir up further adventure as the player relives the events from the movie in this third-person action game. Shrek bashes and burps his way past various challenges, fighting knights and other evil things while collecting items to boost his health and power.

Shrek 2

Shrek and friends join in an adventure that follows the movie plot of Shrek 2. Play as a team of four throughout the fairytale lands inhabited by the ogre Shrek and his wife Fiona, with 1-4 players. Throughout the game you will play as 10 different characters, each with his or her own unique abilities to face the challenges of a Fairy Godmother, your parents-in-law and more.

Shrek the Third

The Frog King has died and Shrek has inherited the throne. Since Shrek's not a big fan of this idea, he and his friends journey to the Worcestershire academy to recruit Fiona's cousin, Artie, for the job. Unfortunately, while he's away the dastardly Prince Charming has big plans to take over the kingdom.

SHReK the THiRD is an action-platformer with a heavy emphasis on brawling and humor. With plenty of Prince Charming's goons in his path (including black knights, evil gnomes, a crooning Captain Hook, and giant walking trees), Shrek will have to use all of his abilities to defeat them, find his way home, and pick up some souvenir mugs along the way.

Each level features several quests, lots of collectibles, and funny situations. While most of the levels feature Shrek himself, there are six playable characters in total (Donkey, Puss in Boots, Fiona, Artie, and Sleeping Beauty feature as well), over 20 levels, three big boss battles, and several multiplayer minigames.

Shrek Forever After

Shrek Forever After: The Final Chapter is based on the film of the same name, taking place after Shrek the Third. Shrek and Fiona are now living the domestic life with their triplets and Shrek is making a living signing pitchforks at Fiona's behest instead of going around scaring people. This does not make Shrek feel like much of an ogre, so the mischievous Rumpelstiltskin offers him a pact that will make him feel like a ogre again. All of a sudden, Shrek finds himself in an alternate reality of Far, Far Away where he and Fiona never met, ogres are hunted and Rumpelstiltskin is king!

Gameplay is similar to the previous Shrek movie adaptations, you will go around finding items and solving puzzles in order to progress. As you progress, you can upgrade your character's skill sets that can be used in subsequent playthroughs, as well as unlock additional skills. You will also earn coins as you go along, which can be used to buy items in game as well as buying hints and information from NPCs. During combat, you will be able to string together combo attacks once you have filled up enough of your on screen combo counter. It also features two realities that you can play in, one which is Shrek's 'normal' reality and the one that forms as a result of his deal with Rumpelstiltskin.

There is also a four player co-op mode available for up to four people who can play as Fiona, Donkey, or Puss in Boots.
