Prison Break : the Conspiracy

The story of Prison Break: The Conspiracy is based on the first season of the TV series Prison Break.

The original story of the series is dedicated to the young engineer Michael Scofield and his elaborate plan to rescue his brother Lincoln Burrows, who was falsely accused of murder and is now awaiting execution in the Fox River prison.

In the game, however, the player does not control Michael, but a character who was not present in the TV series: Tom Paxton, an agent for "The Company", the main villainous organization of Prison Break. His mission is to get into Fox River prison and report to the company about Michael's attempts to escape with his brother. The original story serves therefore as a background for Paxton's experiences in the prison.

Prison Break: The Conspiracy is essentially a stealth game with hand-to-hand combat portions. Most of the game is composed of objectives given to Paxton by other inmates. These objectives, for the most part, involve sneaking past security guards, janitors, or hostile inmates, staying unnoticed at all times. If the protagonist is spotted, the player returns to the previous check-point and has to play the part of the sequence again. If the hostile character is an inmate, it is possible to fight him.

There are also other activities the protagonist can engage in when not being on a mission, such as lifting weights, getting tattoos, and fighting other inmates for money and other prizes.

Another game in Infogrames' line of H. P. Lovecraft inspired games started by Alone In the DarkPrisoner of Ice puts you in the role of Lt. Ryan, an American agent stationed aboard the submarine H.M.S. Victoria on a rescue mission to the Antarctic. The Victoria picks up two mysterious crates during the course of the rescue. Before you know it the Captain is eaten alive by the cargo, a horrific monster with whom you are trapped aboard the submarine. And that's just the start of your problems.

Prisoner of Ice features a very simplified version of the classic adventure game interface, where you can left click with the cursor to operate an object or right click to look at it. The program won't let you do anything with these objects, other than the few appropriate actions needed to advance the game.\

Project Gotham Racing takes you and your car onto the streets at night, where there are people to impress with your driving ability. You can race through cities such as New York and London. Pick one of the 25 cars and customise it to your tastes.

Two innovative features set the game apart from previous racers. The Kudos system awards points based on specific stunts and sharp driving, in a manner more typical of shoot 'em ups than racing games. Also, you can record your own CDs for use in the game, played in random order by a talking DJ.

Two years after the original game, Project Gotham Racing is back. There's no storyline: it's all about becoming the best driver of the world by finishing first in races through famous cities, such as Chicago, Edinburgh, Florence, Barcelona, Washington, Hong Kong and Moscow.

The kudos system, which awards points based on driving style, has been improved. Perform power slides, 360° turns, drive on two wheels or stay in the slipstream of your opponents to build up a stash. With those points, you can unlock new venues and faster race monsters, such as the Ferrari Enzo, Porsche GT2, BMW Z4, Pontiac GTO, Mini Cooper S and many others.

The game can be played both over System Link as Xbox Live. You can race friends online or download ghosts of the fastest drivers all around the world to improve your own skills.

Each city has its own soundtrack, but you can create and store your own playlists as well.

Project Gotham Racing 3 combines the tried and true racing line of the series with an overhauled visual style and new game modes, both online and off.

Where as the previous titles had a range of vehicles spanning all of the possibilities, PGR3 sticks with the high end vehicles of Ferrari, Dodge, Lamborghini, 70 cars in total. A greater emphasis is on speed, as you drift around the corners of tracks the world over, building up your Kudos score and your overall rank.

PGR3 lives and breaths, however, online. Besides the usual multiplayer modes you'd expect, you can also upload and watch any world record beating scores and live replays of the latest online races.

Project Gotham Racing is the second version of the racing game to appear on the Xbox 360, the fourth in the Project Gotham Racing and the sixth Bizarre Creations street racer overall. Major new enhancements include a changing weather system and the option of racing motorcycles. The original 5 cities of London, Las Vegas, Tokyo, New York City and Nurburgring have been joined by Shanghai, St. Petersburg, Macau and Quebec.

There are now 120 licensed vehicles with classic newcomers such as the Corvette Sting Ray, Maserati 250F, Toyota Supra Turbo, and DeLorean DMC-12 and motorcycles added as a new type of vehicle. The new online mode Bulldog has the player tag other cars in the game. Once tag, they join the hunt for the remaining racers. This mode is played in an open environment where different paths can be chosen. Bikes and cars are allowed to be played simultaneously in this mode.
