the Legacy : Realm of Terror

The year is 1993. The protagonist's ancestors, the Winthrops, have obviously dealt with black magic and perhaps even pacts with the demons. Now their mansion is invaded by horrifying creatures, and it is up to the brave hero(ine) to venture inside, solve the mystery, and above all - survive.

The Legacy: Realm of Terror is a role-playing game with adventure elements. The player navigates the protagonist through the 3D locations of the mansion from first-person perspective. The environment must be explored, and items procured in order to solve puzzles and advance in the game.

Beside these adventure game features, the game plays like a RPG, with character customization, equipment, and combat. The player can select one of the eight pre-made characters (four male, four female) to control in the game. Characters' attributes and skills are divided into three categories, which correspond to pure physical traits, supportive techniques (such as healing), and dexterity in usage of firearms and smaller melee weapons.

The player relies on magic spells in combat; those can be acquired and upgraded from spell pages found in the game world. There are offensive, supportive, and restorative spells in the game. Resting, consuming food, and even meditating affects the player character's condition as well.

Combat takes place in the same environment as exploration, utilizing a real-time system, which requires the player to quickly select commands ("Aim" and "Hit" for weapon attacks, and the corresponding spell icons for magic).

Legendary

Legend tells that Pandora's box released all the evils of mankind when it was opened. But in reality the box actually is a weapon of ultimate strength that decimated societies and crushed civilizations until the Council of 98, a secret order, took the relic and its secret and hid it from world. They hid it so good in fact, that over time the knowledge was lost even to them and so the world was safe from the box's destruction. At least until a team of archaeologists find the box on the bottom of the ocean, recover it and place it in a museum in New York City.

The player takes on the role of Charles Deckard, a professional art thief. He has been commissioned by a mysterious man named LeFey to get into the museum and steal the box but instead of stealing it once he is in front of it, he makes the biggest mistake in his life and opens it unleashing horros upon the world which were believed to be only myths. Now Deckard is hunted by a mysterious entity named "The Black Order" and simultaneously has to undo the disaster he created.

Legendary is a straight forward first-person-shooter. During the course of the game Deckcard finds everything from an axe to molotov cocktails and an advanced assault rifle to fight against the ancient horror and special units of the Black Order. When he opened the box he also gained the ability to see and use the life energy called Animus Vitae. Dropped by the mythical monsters after their death, it not only heals Deckard but can also be used to unleash an energy wave called Animus Pulse which blasts nearby enemies to the ground.

When the player has enough of all the world-saving, he can start up the multiplayer mode for up to 8 players. The game pits the rebels against the Black Ops but also puts in the mythical, AI-controlled monsters from the single player campaign to grant the players access to Animus Vitae and generally spice things up.

the Legend of Korra
The Legend of Korra Box Front

The Legend of Korra is a third-person brawler action game based on the animated TV series of the same name. It is set in the same universe as Avatar: The Last Airbender and it is a sequel to that series. It takes place in a world based on four elements: earth, fire, water and wind. Benders are fighters who master these elements and those who can master all four are called Avatars. Korra is such an Avatar, a god-like being able to reincarnate and responsible for maintaining peace and balance in the world. The game describes the three weeks between the events of the second and third season of the series, but does not explain most of the background story of the universe where it takes place. After participating in a Pro Bending sporting event in Republic City, Korra walks into a dark alley and is sedated by the chi-blocker Hundun, who strips her off her bending abilities. He was brought into the world after Korra opened a spirit portal at the end of the second season. Most of the game is centered around recovering her bending abilities and defeating Hundun and his minions.

The game contains eight chapters split up into smaller levels that usually consist of a series of fights in small arenas with barriers that only disappear when all enemies have been defeated. Basic attacks are based on a light and a heavy attack that can be combined to perform combos. It is also possible to lock onto enemies. Korra often has to fight off multiple enemies at once and the game rewards dodging, blocking and counterattacks by timing correctly. Certain combos also lead to powerful finishers. Gradually Korra regains her four bending abilities each with their own moves, strengths and weaknesses. They also have their own progression system and gradually become more powerful. Korra can switch between the four abilities, when acquired, on the fly. Waterbending focuses on ranged attacks, while earthbending provides slow, but powerful attacks that often cannot be blocked. The next ability is fire, the most balanced one as after upgrading it provides fast, slow but powerful and ranged attacks. Air bending is only regained in the late parts of the game with whirlwind moves that affect a large radius. In the latest stages of the game Korra can enter a special state for a short time where all bending abilities are combined.

There are small platform sections, cut-scenes that further the story and boss battles. The latter often require a specific combination of bending abilities and bosses often attack with unblockable electrical and earth attacks. By fighting enemies and destroying objects in the environment health is recovered and spirit energy is collected. The energy serves as a currency to shop for items, such as health potions and talismans that provide additional bonus effects, at Iroh's spirit shop between levels. There are also sections where Korra rides her polar bear/dog hybrid mount Naga. She runs by herself and the player needs to switch lanes, crouch and jump similar to auto-run platformers. After completing the eight chapters a Pro-Bending league is unlocked. It consists of small Pro Bending challenges with specific rules.
