Lamborghini American Challenge
Starting out with just a basic Lamborghini and $6000, your aim is to rise to the top of the 4 divisions of racing through success on 60 race tracks across The United States. In each division there are 20 rival racers, up to 3 of which compete in each race at a time.
The races also feature lots of local drivers (who can take crucial positions away from you and the other championship drivers), Sunday drivers going at normal speed, and police. Before each race you will be told of the quality of the locals and the likelihood of police presence.
When police are in the area, speeding beyond 110 km/h could see you branded as an offender, at which point the police will try to ram you off the road, Chase H.Q.-style. You can attempt to reach the end of the race despite this damage (which eventually hampers your speed) or simply pull over and accept a fine and the loss of race points. If the police subsequently stop you, the fine is heavier.
Each race costs money to enter and your earnings can be boosted by betting on the results with the other championship drivers. If one of you wins, each driver gives you either the amount they bet or the amount you bet, whichever is lower. If a local wins you get your stake back.
Lots of power-ups can be bought along the way, including tires, radar jammers, engine improvements and nitro boosts. To move up a division you must take the Divisional Challenge, a one-off trek through a tough section within the time limit. You buy a set of 3 passes for this, each allowing one attempt.

L.A Noire
L.A. Noire is a hard-boiled detective game set in Los Angeles of 1947. Drawing strongly from the stylistic film noir, players control LAPD officer Cole Phelps through 21 cases as he works his way through the ranks of his department to solve a series of murder mysteries. Each case forms an independent section in the game, but there is an overarching story with recurring characters and Phelps's personal history while serving during the Second World War. He starts off as a patrolman, but eventually advances to a traffic detective, homicide, vice, and finally arson investigator. With each promotion, a new partner and new locations become available.
During a case the game blends slower investigative elements with fast sequences that involve on-foot and car chases, and gun-play. There is a strong focus on the story and character development, often with long cinematic sequences. Even though the game offers a large amount of freedom with exploration by car and on foot, it cannot be compared to Grand Theft Auto due to a number of restrictions. Playing as a detective, random civilians cannot be attacked and gun-play is reserved for specific sequences. In addition, each case is confined to a limited number of venues. The player is free to choose the order of investigation, but ultimately the game cannot be furthered until a satisfying conclusion for the case has been reached. Next to the main story Phelps can accept optional side-investigations through dispatch calls.
When arriving on the scene of a murder case, it needs to be hunted for clues that can be researched. The game offers hints through rumble and audio chime when Phelps walks by, but these can also be disabled. Armed with evidence, the next step is usually interrogating witnesses and suspects. Faces of characters have been animated through the motion capture MotionScan technology and the detailed realism of these captures is used as an element of gameplay. When talking to characters, not only the evidence is important, but also their tone of voice, and especially facial expressions. Characters will sometimes look away, or have tics and expressions that can reveal information. During an interrogation the player needs to interpret these and then decide how to proceed through one of three options: Truth, Doubt, or Lie. Based on the decision, different paths and reactions open up. Failed action sequences can be replayed, but when the player constantly interprets the situation incorrectly and the investigation grinds to a halt, the entire case needs to be replayed. Plenty of chances are offered to correct mistakes and try a new approach, also often after the investigation of clues.
Each case takes about an hour to complete. Depending on the speed and correct intuition applied to solve cases, the player earns ranks that provide intuition points. These can be used to eliminate options during conversations when stuck.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider :Legend
Legend is the seventh major game in the Tomb Raider series, now for the first time developed by Crystal Dynamics, along with the original character designer of the game's protagonist Lara Croft: Toby Gard.
Heroine Lara is searching for a South American relic, but her adventure takes a different course when rogue anthropologist Amanda Evert shows up. Presumed dead along with a team of graduate students after an accident in a tomb in Peru, where Lara was the only one to escape, Amanda is back with a score to settle as they both race, along with the shady James Rutland Jr., to obtain an ancient artifact. Many other characters, both friends and foes, will stir things up. The story takes Lara through locations all over the world, from the Himalayas to Ghana, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, Japan and England, including her famous mansion filled with secrets and collectibles. Aside from current events, Lara's past is also revealed, through flashbacks. Among other things, you will get to know how she lost her mother and why it is such a burden.
The typical third-person action-adventuring exploring is still present. Lara can move more freely, and is no longer limited by specific jumps. As you travel through rough environments, you will need to run, dive, swim, climb on poles, ladders, roofs, use zip lines, shimmy and vault, with acrobatic actions such as somersaults and flips. You need to cross difficult terrain, solve puzzles to advance or open up new areas, and engage in combat. New tools include a grappling hook, not only used to move around but also to haul enemies Scorpion-style, binoculars, a PLS (personal light source), flares, a PDA and a headset to keep in contact with tech support Zip.
Enemies are still rather scarce. Both humans and animals will attack you, and the game retains the auto lock-on mode, but now with a slide attack and close combat with both kicks and punches, plus bullet-time actions to get behind enemies quickly. Lara carries her trademark dual-wielded pistols, but can also pick up new weapons along the way, such as a shotgun and grenades. Missions take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with arcade motorcycle and jeep sequences in between. As usual, Lara has a fancy outfit for each location.
The PSP version includes the full game and adds a multiplayer mode: Tomb Trials. You can race another player through tombs to see who comes out first, or go on a timed scavenger hunt for artifacts.

As the game begins, Lara wakes from a stupor. Recalling what she can of the past few hours, she remembers walking in on a killer after discovering the body of Von Croy, her friend and former mentor. She must make a hasty escape from the authorities who blame her for the crime. Determined to discover the fiend responsible, Lara eventually uncovers an evil plot that could cause the destruction of mankind. If the reincarnation of the "angel of darkness" is allowed to happen, the world is doomed!
The game environment is set in the somewhat distant future. You'll lead Lara mostly in 3rd person perspective, travelling to various locales in Europe. Explore sewers, cemeteries, warehouses, factories and cities. A multitude of NPCs will be encountered, both in the form of friend as well as foe.
Angel of Darkness introduces new stealth and close-combat moves - ducking, sneaking and hug-the-walls walking. Lara must build her skills by performing action sequences. You'll have her running, dodging, performing flying leaps and platform jumps, shimming along walls and cables, as well as moving boxes and other obstacles around. Advancements are achieved with strategically placed power-ups. Collect weapons and ammunition, artifacts and money.
You'll also play Kurtis Trent, a new male counterpart, for several "levels". Although Kurtis gets in Lara's way when she first meets him, he eventually becomes an ally when they realize they are both working towards the same goal.
